This weekend I spent a lot of time in the kitchen. We went to my in-laws on Sunday where my mother-in-law showed me how to make salsa. It was fantastic! I learned so many things. Like, how to peel tomatoes. Who knew that if you made a tomato hot, the skin would just pop off? I love cold tomatoes with salt so I have never had the need to heat up tomatoes. Also, I chopped a jalapeno for the first time in my life.
Canning has such fun utensils, like that fun little magnetic stick thing.

While supper was cooking I found some good books. This struck my funny bone since I had just learned that my sister’s kids had planted corn in their front yard.

Then my b-i-l brought out his guitar and the weather was gorgeous.
